Amazon.com Product Description The simply designed Casio G-Shock Classic digital watch for men offers shock resistance that's great for your most vigorous sporting activities. The durable rectangular black watch case measures 45mm wide (1.77 inches), and it's matched to a comfortable black resin sports strap. It includes a stopwatch function that can measure events down to 1/100 of a second for the first 60 minutes (and down to 1 second from 60 minutes to 24 hours), and it offers elapsed and split time modes, and 1st-2nd place times. It also has a countdown timer with a 24-hour range. Other timekeeping features include a multi-function alarm, hourly time signal (which can be turned off), and 12/24-hour formats. This timepiece also features an Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2039), ±15-second accuracy per month, Afterglow backlighting, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--which will stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving.

Another tough watch by casio March 17, 2010 thundercloud (Central Missouri) I have owned this model of Casio watch in the past. The band will give away on you before the watch quits working and they keep very accurate time. The G-Shock model can take a lot of abuse. Casio watches like this are the modern day equivilant of the old Timex watches where John Cameron Swayze would say on their commercials " It takes a licking and keeps on ticking " Of course a digital watch does not tick but you know what I mean.
Very nice strong watch March 15, 2010 David (UK) I find This watch very smart and attractive, and quite comfortable to wear for a g-shock watch. I really like the classic retro 80's look of this watch too. It has obviously the time, alarm, countdown timer and stopwatch. all the digits are quite large and easy to see. It also has a nice aqua green glow for the backlight which stays on for a few seconds when the light button is released.
I might just buy another one of these watches, since I'm starting a small watch collection, so I'll have 1 to wear and 1 on display, it looks great on display!
I heard these watches are used by the military, and emergency services like police and firemen etc.
Nice simple watch March 8, 2010 S. Khan (New York/California) If you want a simple digital watch, this is perfect. It also looks cool since it has a retro feel to it. I have a few g-shocks and this one is nice because it is not overwhelming
Great watch, annoying backlight March 4, 2010 Connor McKay Incredibly durable, very easy to use, and all the features you need. My only complaint with this watch is in regards to the backlight, and when it refuses to work. When setting the alarm, the backlight will not come on, even though that button performs no other function in this mode. This means that you cannot set the alarm in the dark, which is very annoying if you are camping or in a shared room and don't want to turn on the lights just to set your alarm. The backlight will also not work when setting the event timer, but instead toggles the "automatic" mode which causes the timer to restart automatically when it reaches zero.
Overall, its a great watch, but this one design flaw means I probably wouldn't purchase another one.
