The lost book of Enki October 24, 2007 susan wadden 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you are following ancient history at all and you haven't read this book, then please put aside all of the books that you are reading and get this one shipped overnight to you. This is THE book that puts everything together: pre and post deluvial civilizations, feuding royal families, Iraq and its centers of worship, the lineages from Enki's (Ptah's) family down through Thoth/Ningishzida and Marduck/Ra and the beloved Dumuzi/Osirus/Tammuz...to Enki's sister: Ninmah/Hathor, and Enki's brother: Enlil/Jahweh....and the way the worlds were divided and what is the Eden anyways....so, it's all here folks, channeled onto a tablet made of Lapis Lazuli and found on a cuniform, just the way we like it. You really can't know history until you get THIS story straight. Plus, I LOVE Enki. He's my very favorite historical peace loving figure later known as Poseidan..again, the Sumerian source is as far back as we can go right now. (you'll have all of the dates spelled out for you too).
Very different from the others books by Stichiin May 13, 2007 C. Labrie (Canada + US) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This book is a little bit hard to read because of the unusual English language; this is not at all an everyday English language. The construction of the sentences is the opposite way that it is usually. But anyway, this book is a must! This book is very different from the others. There is a lot of new information.
The Lost Book of Enki March 8, 2007 Jerry L. Reed (New Mexico) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
If you find all the earlier books of Sitchin a hard read this book makes it far easier to understand. Out of all of his works this is the one that I go back to on a regular basis.
Interesting but drags... January 10, 2007 R. Doell 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm really into Sitchin and his theories so this attracted me. But while interesting as all his stuff is, this is really a dull read. I can only take a few pages at a time.
