This camera is probably one of the best point & shoot cameras I have ever tried. It takes great pics in daylight. However, I was a little disappointed when I tried it at a ceremony in a semi-dark large room. The pics were not that clear. On a positive note, if you learn to use the many features it has you can create some wonderful shots. Overall, I would recommend this camera to anyone who does not want to purchase a dslr.

I was looking for a good quality camera while sticking to a budget and the SX20IS was a great choice. I have been happy with the image quality and features it offers. Shoots as good as you want to shoot in manual. I highly recommend this camera.

Camera takes great pics but be sure to check all functions before return window expires as I did not and Amazon has no contact info for returns passed 30 days. I had not tried the movie function until several months into ownership and found that the sound did not work. Now have to hassle with warranty thru Canon for redemption. Beware of buying these expensive electronics thru Amazon. I recommend a local dealer in case you have problems.

Better than I expected. As I had read before however, the includded booklet is useless. You have to use the e-manual to get any idea how to more than just point and shoot.
