Overall, I am very pleased with this product. The picture quality is quite good and the camera is extremely easy to use. This may not have all the "bells and whistles" of some top end models, but for the price, you can't beat it!

Took a look at was available, compared Camcorders back and forth, different vendors back and forth...I chose the Sony HDR-CX100 hoping it was what I was looking for from an item purchased over the Internet...Amazon's price was comparable to the others and I have had success with Amazon in the past...I placed my order without any intrepidation and I received it in a timely manner and in good order...I will continue to compare Amazon for my electronic needs with other vendors first and foremost based on past performance and delivery...

This camera has a great picture, features and price. If you're looking for an HD camera but don't want to spend a ton of money than I would highly recommend this. It's very light, we were surprised how light it was and it is very portable. Battery life is great and I don't think we would ever shoot more than three hours anyway. Stability control is very good in this camera. I compared it to my friends Flip Ultra HD video to my camera's and his was very shaky and mine was smooth and clear. Optical zoom is great and 10x optical zoom is more than enough for many things. Anything more than 10x optical is hard to get a good video and slightest movement would cause the video to become shaky. The camera does 1080p, 720p, and standard. The only thing that could be better would be to have a better picture in low light, there's some noise, but for me it's not a big issue because for the price and features that we got from this camera I know we wouldn't have been able to get it anywhere else.

This is a wonderful camcorder w.r.t its features and picture clarity. The only problem is the positioning of the record button on holding the camcorder upright is not great. Otherwise this is a great cam for the price
