Customer Reviews:
Worth every penny!! March 21, 2010 Shaun Jernagin This is probably the best thing since sliced bread. I haven't used lighter fluid since I purchased the Chimney Starter and I get a perfect light every time. I was skeptical at first but now I couldn't live without it.
No more charcoal lighter fluid March 20, 2010 James S. Andresen (Missouri) This item does what it says! I use 2 rolled up pieces of newspaper and one wooden match. Presto, like magic the charcoal briquets are ready 15-20 mintues later. I have eliminated a costly expense of using charcoal ligter fluid every time I barbecue. The Weber quality of this product is just what I expected.
Perfect for the WSM February 15, 2010 James B. Leyhew 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This chimney starter is a perfect edition to the Weber Smokey Mountain. It is idiot proof and gets your charcoal going very quickly. The Rapidfire is solidly constructed and should last for many years to come.
If you are looking for a chimney...this is is! February 9, 2010 A. R. Payne (Georgia) I have went through several chimneys over the years. They were only a few dollars cheaper and they needed replacement after a couple of years mainly due to rust and failure brought on by heat. I have owned this thing for nearly 2 years and I can say it is built like a tank. One plus is it holds the proper amount of coals for a standard kettle grill. It also lights faster and more consistent than the other cheaper chimney's I have owned. The reason is the design; it has a cone shaped grate that the coals sit on instead of a standard flat grate.
Pay the extra $5 and pick this up because you will not be disappointed. Two sheets of newspaper and a lighter is all it takes to get away from that nasty lighter fluid.
