Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The best deal you'll find in a great acoustic guitar, the Jasmine S35 features a Spruce top and Mahogany back & sides with a satin finish. Contemporary styling and time-tested construction methods produce an instrument that is built to last and, most importantly, sounds powerful and clean on all strings, from treble to bass. Chrome covered tuning machines and a rosewood fretboard are also featured.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome beginners guitar, great price   March 16, 2010
natron557 (here)
This guitar is nice. It's the first instrument I have ever purchased. I have been learning on it for about 2 months now, I love it. some of my friends own taylors and they have all commented on how nice this guitar sounds even though it was only $90.

I did end up restringing it with elixir's and have to say that those strings made it even nicer to play. My strings that came with the guitar were turning my fingers and pick black after about a month of play. My one friend who is pretty good at guitar said he thought it came strung with daddario strings, which apparently sound really nice at first but don't last long.

Overall this guitar is great. Its really worth the price, if you thinking about learning this is the instrument for you.
I've got calluses on my fingers now.

5 out of 5 stars An amazing value   March 15, 2010

This is my first guitar, and I absolutely love it. It sounds great, and the high action helps you develop calluses more quickly.

Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 stars Great product. Problem with Shipping, but Amazon made it right.   March 13, 2010

Ordered this guitar for my daughter's elementary ed music class where she had to play a song on a guitar. She loves it. Her prof said he was glad she didn't get a low end wal-mart special. Good beginners guitar. She'd found one on the web ordered it and it turned out to be a child sized one. She was in a panic for a guitar so we found this one on the web and had it shipped one day. It didn't show up at Fed Ex when it was supposed to. We called back and Amazon shipped another one One-Day which got there barely in time. The original guitar order showed up four days later which she refused. Amazon handled the return nicely and waived the one day shipping charge. Very happy with the customer service. Not so happy with the shipping. Be sure you watch the progress of when it get's accepted at Fed-Exp.

5 out of 5 stars Solid Guitar   March 10, 2010

I've been playing off and on for about 3 years now, more permanently as of recent. This guitar sounds absolutely amazing...especially if you buy some elixir strings. As some have said, the action is a little high compared to most guitars but in my opinion that is an excellent way to learn. because I've grown accustomed to pressing so hard to make the strings sound clear, every other guitar is almost too easy to play. All in all, this is a great guitar whether you are just starting out or if you want another great sounding well-made guitar.

4 out of 5 stars Great Acoustic   March 3, 2010

I love this guitar! The neck does have a steel rod, which I wasn't sure about when purchasing. The strings are easy to change and the sound is good, other than the occasional rattle on the strings (But maybe that's me, ha!) Also, the surface isn't too glossy, and has a nice matt finish which works well. I think this is made very well and is very fun to play!
