Waffle Iron March 18, 2010 Arthur C. Hill (USA) It works fast and it works well . I wish it had a shut off.
Good waffles March 18, 2010 B. Ward This waffle iron is small, but makes great waffles. The buzzer sound to tell when the waffles are done is annoying to our dogs, too high pitched. However, it only lasts a short time. The thickness of the waffles is just right, not too thick or too thin. Like suggested, after cooking the waffles, I put them in a 200 degree oven on the rack, not a plate, while waiting for all the other waffles to be cooked so they stay crisp, not soggy from steam. I like the mechanism that lets me choose how dark or light to make the waffles, too. Be careful when storing the waffle iron on its edge as there is no way to keep the waffle iron from opening on its own, unless some way of tying the handles together. The balance has to be just right when storing upright or it will open with a crash. I store it flat even though the cord wrapped underneath makes it not lay flat during storage.
Better than most February 9, 2010 Bob K. (Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 20-year-old Villaware rectangular Belgian waffle maker finally gave up its ghost and I bought the V2004 as a replacement. We may still be in the break-in period but, so far, I am pleased with the results. The only drawback is that it bakes one side of the waffle more consistently than the other as if the lower burner element was hotter than the upper element. All in all, it is significantly better than others that I tried.
