I was very unhappy when I burned up my Oster Waffle maker of 17 years and had to purchase a new one. My waffles were always ready in 90 seconds. I bought a new Oster waffle maker only to discover it took 5 minutes per waffle! Who has that time?
That made me research waffle makers and the VillaWare seemed to be popular. I wanted quick waffles for a reasonable price and no big bulky machines. VillaWare is perfect. Waffles taste great, done in a reasonable time, the machine isn't too big and I think it looks cute, too. Couldn't be happier. Hope this one lasts 17 years, too.

Makes the best waffles ever. I love it!! easy to use, times itself and easy cleanup. But don't skip the butter, oil or spray step the instructions say to do before using. LOL although the waffler is easy enough to cleanup.

I bought Model V2002 in Feb 2010 and have no idea how the V2004 differs. This is a quality mostly metal product that makes a great Belgian waffle. Feels very solid. It seems to me the rotating types have more parts and are therefore more likely to fall apart and there is not any evidence that flipping waffles makes them taste better anyway albeit the Villa instruction manual says to serve them upside down. The pros on this unit is its SMALL SIZE (8"x11") taking up little counter space, makes a large 7.5" ROUND waffle, makes a very THICK waffle (about one inch) with very DEEP GROVES (which you typically can't tell from the pics but some waffle irons use plates with shallower groves). A no-brainer to use: It has 2 lights: one light which informs you it is plugged in; a buzzer and the second light turns green light when it reaches cooking temperature; the green light turns red while cooking and then turns green and the machine buzzs again when done. I love the buzz system as I am always multi-tasking. Non-stick plates, easy to clean exterior, a cord management system on the bottom. The only con is that it sort of stands up for storage but is not stable in that position. Tried and true. VillaWare V2002 UNO Belgian Waffler - RoundA very safe choice.

I ordered this waffle iron as a birthday gift for my mother. I read all of the reviews in regards to this product and was hoping that it would live up to it's expectations, especially because it was a gift.
My mother loved it!!! She said that she used it for the first time this morning and made absolutely restaurant perfect waffles!!!! She said that the ready beep was not bothersome at all, and stated that maybe someone with a small apartment might have a different opinion about the sound, but had no complaints.
She said that the size, crispiness, thickness, amongst other things were perfect. She said it was also very easy to clean up. No spill over or stickiness to the iron.
She said she could hardly wait to manipulate her waffle recipe to include nuts, blueberries, and other complimenting items.

I ordered this product on Amazon.com, and was very impressed with the timeliness of the order, from the time of the order to the actual date of delivery was exactly five days with standard delivery. The only problem I had was that I ordered the product gift wrapped and the item was not gift wrapped, however, I was quickly refunded the difference.
