 Good Scale, Few Problems March 22, 2010

When I got this scale, I was excited to try it out, but couldn't. There were no AAA batteries included as mentioned in the description! So I had to go out and spend another $3.
Overall, it's a great scale and is very accurate. I love the lit screen and the easy to read numbers. But, I am having problems getting it to turn on. I can not get it to turn on by tapping it. I have to pick it up then put it back down for it to turn on. This gets annoying after awhile.

My old analog scale was very inaccurate. I'd get different weights stepping on, off, and immediately back on. That's very frustrating, especially when trying to lose weight and looking for confirmation of every victory, no matter how tiny.
The scale is very attractive, and because of all the glass, tends to blend in with whatever kind of flooring it's on.
I have not had problems turning the scale on by tapping the bottom. I also discovered it can be turned on by lifting the bottom slightly off the floor (maybe 1/4") with my toe, and letting it drop down again.
All and all, I recommend this scale to anyone wanting an accurate and consistent weight-measuring device.

We've had a couple of different scales before this one. The others were never consistent, reading different weights with only minutes between attempts. This scale is consistent and more accurate than any of the other scales we've had.

This is a really nice looking accurate scale that simply tells you your weight. It's a little different to turn on. I thought I would just have to tap the scale to turn it on, but it actually takes more force then that. It takes tipping it slightly then letting the force of gravity turn it on. I like that it doesn't have all the wacky bells and whistles that other scales seem to have now. And hey! It came with batteries!
