Screen protector for K2iMarch 20, 2010 Book Thirsty(Windsor, ON Canada) I was hestitant to put this screen protector on my brand new K2i - but I know in the long run it's best to ensure I do not scratch the all important reading screen. In the few short days I had the kindle before the protector screen and jacket arrived I thought I had damaged the screen for good. I had my husband apply the protector screen as soon as it arrived. Now, the only problem I have with it is that there is no a bit of a glare due to the shininess of the protector. It is obviously nicer to read the kindle with e ink and no glare but it's safer for me to have my investment protected. It's your choice.

Once applied, I find that the screen now has a glare in certain light. If you do not use a Kindle jacket to protect your e-reader, then I would guess the screen protector is a necessity. But honestly, I don't see its purpose since my Kindle's jacket is closed when not in use.
