wicked workout March 22, 2010 S. Stanto (Pittsburgh, PA) I'm an athletic person, and a stay at home mom. This is an AWESOME dvd. Quick, effective, really really difficult workout that will give incredible results. LOVED this. Hated it, but loved it.
good workout March 22, 2010 Mari Hoskins (midwest) It's a good workout. The three segments are very challenging - even for someone who works out on a regular basis. But don't purchase based upon the "up to 20lb" weight loss claim. I am in better shape after 30 days but haven't lost any noticible amount of weight.
Wheelchair to Jillian in 6 monthgs March 21, 2010 Mystonia (Topeka, KS) August of 2009 I had a 7 in tumor removed from the center of my spinal cord. It ran from the base of my brain to the center of my shoulder blades. I have had to relearn to walk, among other things I've had to relearn. Due to my reduced mobility the pounds have poured on, and needless to say I have become very unhappy with myself.
I have been an avid fan of Jillian Michaels, watching Biggest Loser season after season. When I heard about the 30 Day Shred I figured I'd give it a try. If the folks on the show could do the workouts with Jillian hours on end then I most certainly could do 25 minutes a day!
Let me say that this is DEFINITELY an intense workout! Day 1 & 2 had me cursing Jillian and wishing I had never heard of her before. I had to lay off on day 3, my husband insisted as I could barely move. He had to remind me of all my body had been through and that I'm not the average person. I went right back to it the next day, and stuck right with it.
While I have had to modify a few things in the routine to meet my disabilities, I can feel my strength and endurance returning. At a time where I was starting to be resigned to the fact that I may never be my old self again, Jillian's tough, no-nonsense approach has brought back my spirit and fight.
For this I wish to thank Jillian Michaels and The 30 Day Shred. While it's not an easy workout, if I can do it, anyone can! There are no excuses!
Awesome! March 19, 2010 D. Voss (Ball Ground, GA) Love this video! It's hard..but it's very "doable". Don't give up...I tell myself every day.."It's 20 minutes...I can do 20 minutes"!!!
amazing workout! March 18, 2010 Sara Foster This is one of the best purchases I could've made to improve my health. I've been doing the Shred for a little over a month now, and I haven't felt this good in years! I started the workout at 120 lbs (5'3"), so a little out of shape and not liking the way my clothes fit anymore. I hadn't worked out on steadily in years, so the first week or so of the Shred was really tough. I came out of the 30 minute workout so out of breath and pretty much collapsed on the floor as soon as it finished. Now, a month later, I still work up a great sweat but I can do everything Jillian asks of me and come out of the workout feeling refreshed and ready for anything.
Jillian is a taskmaster. She asks a lot of us, but her workout really does pump up the heartrate and work many parts of the body. Believe me, it's worth the 30 minutes each day to feel stronger and have your clothes fit the way you want them to.
Now, I've been doing Level 1 this whole month. I've tried Level 2, but I just don't enjoy it as much, and when it comes to making myself work out every day, I'd prefer to do a workout I enjoy. Level 1 is that for me. Plus, I still work up a sweat every time I do Level 1. So, after a month of doing Level 1 everyday, and maintaining a fairly low-calorie diet, I've lost 3 pounds and 2 inches off of my waist. My arms have never been this toned, and my abs feel strong. I plan on continuing to do Level 1 everyday until I get bored with it and want to move on. Or, until I reach a plateau and find myself not seeing results anymore.
In summary... buy this DVD if you don't have a lot of time to work out but want to get a great quality workout! It's the only workout DVD I've tried that I'm not bored with and that gives me the results I want.
