Great mouse--very light March 19, 2010 Eleanor R. Northover (Hampton, Virginia USA) I love this mouse it is so easy to use. This was a great investment for me.
Floral V220 mouse March 18, 2010 OSP Bought this unit after using a friends Red model and I'm happy with my purchase. His originally stopped responding after taking a slam on a desk during a gaming session and I bought a replacement red and this floral blue for myself. It responds well and feels sturdy in my hand while being lightweight. All in all its a good mouse but I am a bit worried about any hard treatment of the mouse in the future since the original red model broke.
Great lil Mouse! March 17, 2010 Kristene Collins (Oregon USA) I bought this mouse at my school's bookstore yesterday. The buttons on my EeePC's trackpad have started to malfunction, but I can't buy a new one until I get my financial aid check next month.
THE GOOD: This mouse works out-of-the-box on Ubuntu 9.10 Netbook-Remix version. It runs extremely well, in fact. I even figured out last night by accident that the bumpy, scratchy surface of the armrest of the recliner in my living room posed no problems for this lil guy! I also like the fact that I had my choice of colors, and got the stripey one. The included battery and little light that goes in when the unit is first turned on (that is advertised to turn red when the battery is low) are also great little bonuses.
THE BAD: Not too much. My biggest gripe is something most people don't even seem to notice... The USB dongle's design isn't perfectly straight on the sides like my thumbdrives. It actually is minisculely fatter on the end that is plugged into the computer, which means, if you're useing an older EeePC, the USB port next to the one the dongle is plugged into becomes unusable. Fortunately, I figured out pretty quickly that I can plug the dongle into the left side of the comp (where there's only one USB port anyways) and still use the mouse on the RIGHT side of my computer with absolutely no problems, making this issue a non-issue! My other (tiny) gripe is that this mouse isn't as long as some others so when I first put my hand around it it feels weird and wrong for about a minute, but when I actually start using it it gets more comfortable. I suspect that this issue will go away the more I use the mouse.
Overall, this is a good little mouse for the $25 (I paid the exact price @ the bookstore that I would have on Amazon, which is awesome). I have dubbed it Mini-Mouse - though I don't have a Mickey to go with it, lol.
I'm glad to read the reviews that say I can just toss it in my backpack and it'll take the abuse of my daily commute with no complaints!
worth it March 15, 2010 beach shopper (FL) great product for the money
however, the rebate process, as always, is annoying as hell
