A wonderful resource September 23, 2008 Digitlchic (St Louis, MO United States) A great resource to find the meanings of names as well as their spiritual connotations. I have found it helpful in dream interpretation as well.
Great Resource! September 11, 2008 A. Culton (Annapolis, MD) Very good information on origin and biblical meaning. Very thorough and amount of names is extensive.
The Name Book June 13, 2008 Jeff Carter (Perry, Ga United States) This book not only aids you when naming a baby but if you play games like the sims 2 on pc were you create sims and have to name them it comes in handy too.I created so many I started to run out of names so I got this book and found many more to use.If you have the sims 2 on pc this book is essential because you will eventually run out of names to call your sims. This book not only features over 10,000 names but also their meaning I highly recommend it.
Excellent!!! June 5, 2008 Dog Res Q.R. (Reno, NV, usa) I bought a few name books from Amazon, this one being by far the best. All names imaginable are in here, even names that would be considered American Ghetto names that I thought were made up have Biblical roots. Many Asian (Japan, China, etc) as well as Mid Eastern names. Be careful, once you open this book, it's nearly impossible to put it down!
Love this book! February 8, 2008 Shirley M. Trudell 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use this book as a reference often. I have purchased it for friends having babies, but it is broader than that. If you are a dreamer, there may be hidden meaning in a name. If you are into people and like to understand them better, this may be helpful. Not only does it give the meaning of the name, but also the renewed meaning with promise.
