Essential running gear for me December 4, 2008 Jenn (Chicago, IL) I am training for a marathon and was developing repeat blisters on certain toes during my long distance runs. I bought these socks, despite my initial misgivings about how silly they look, and now I won't run without them. I haven't had any blisters since getting them a few months ago, and I run at least one 10+ mile run every week. I have large feet for a girl (size 10) and very long toes. These socks are true to size and the toe pockets fit my toes perfectly. The material is a nice weight for year-round running in Illinois, and they have washed well so far.
Worth It for Runners November 2, 2008 John Dildine I consider myself a runner. Typically in a week I'll have around 20-25 miles, more distance than speed. I am a fan of Under Armor's running socks, but these guys blow them out of the water. They are comfortable and functional and great for any type of exercise. That's not to say I wouldn't wear them casually but when you're buying this kind of sock I don't think it is meant for constant use. I've got a couple pair, and I'll continue to buy them. Every now and again the infamous missing sock is extra painful because you can only wear a sock on one foot or the other. All in all I'd say if you have doubts try one pair. I love 'em and I'm pretty sure if you're willing to take care of your feet you will too.

I was a bit hesitant to purchase these socks, but am very glad that I did. Although, i must admit during my long run that i did get blisters on the TOP of my toes and i had never had that problem before. Please note also, that when you increase your mileage drastically and/or do your long runs (specifically with marathon training, but this could also apply to long hikes) that your feet swell. It is very possible and likely that the users here got blisters during their long runs because of their feet swelling (and thus inadvertantly having shoes that are too small) and not neccesarily because of this product. I noticed that, in addition to the swelling, that because your toes are separated, your feet are in a way 'larger' to start with in these socks, so if you are like me and increasing mileage greatly (anything over a half marathon for me, will vary for others depending on their situation obviously), it would be a lot more comfortable to wear shoes that are a half size to a full size larger than your normal shoe size when wearing these socks (which you should do when you are marathon training anyways even with normal socks because of foot swelling, but not everyone knows that). The only reason i give this four instead of five stars is because i got blisters on the top of my toes... and even taking that star away is almost unfair because i did a long run in these socks in my normal shoe size. As a result, i am going to bite the bullet and buy a larger sized shoe for my long runs, because A) i should have from the start and B) it will make wearing these socks during my long runs even better. I can also wear them hiking and running on trails, so that pretty much makes these great in my book :-)
Hot Socks for Women and Jocks September 11, 2008 L. D. Power (Houston, TX) These socks are really the greatest! They are well cushioned, they wick away sweat, and, if you have toes that overlap a bit on the bottom, they really protect the toes. I have always had a problem with blisters on the bottom of my toes. These socks are so great, I can walk miles without a problem. My last walk was 8 miles - and I am building up to 23 miles! These socks are GREAT!
