An Understanding On Tuscan Decoration

The elegant and highly developed Tuscan decors for home originate in Tuscany, the most historical and beautiful places on the earth. This place is also the origin for the renaissance and was the birthplace for Dante, Michaelangelo and Leonardo DaVinci. The Duomo cathedral and the leaning tower of Pisa, one of the historic buildings in the entire Europe are located here. It is not a surprise if the Tuscan decor is very famous in the entire world, suggesting the dreams of being a beautiful and pleasing place and also retrospect sweet memories of a vacation.

Tuscan decors colors are based on earth tones. Tuscany land is thick brown, fertile, with olive trees, evergreens and crops. Hence the colors olive, brown and dark green are a part of the basic colors. Brick red and beige spotted like old stucco comprise the accent color. Tuscan pattern of accessories and paintings are mostly simple sceneries or landscape that portray the beauty of nature.

European style of architecture started to change in the beginning of 14th century. Brunelleschi and Giotto ? the Italian architects learnt to make tall buildings, cover these with domes that are wide enough and also support these with lean columns. Rolling ironwork, rich ornament, mosaics for floor and symmetry was loved by them. Tuscan decors take these guidelines as their inspirations.

Tuscany is been a region for trade and travel since the roman era. Due to this, Tuscan designing got influenced by this foreign patterns and styles from India to Egypt. Tuscan decors also feature stools or chairs mounted on based with the shape of 'X' or pedestals or planters that are similar to the ones from old Greece.

Architectural components are included in the Tuscan home furniture. The legs of a table and chair are carved similar to columns. The back of chairs or table stretchers is carved to resemble the arches on the renaissance structures or buildings. The style still being geometric is filled with ornamentation and movement.

Mosaics cover the pieces or parts of a Tuscan decor - Small pictures made of tiles of different colors, or stones cemented into a floor or tabletop. Such mosaics remind the Roman mosaic in a cathedral that inspired the Cathedrals of Tuscan.

Tuscan decors use the famous patterns of a Tuscan design. Brown stone or a solid marble can be used for coloring walls. Original marble accessories similar to a countertop can be used for more budget. Fireplace made of rustic stone or a yard with stacked pebbles or stone give a more real or authentic feel to the decor.
