'hannah Montana' Sleepwalks, Plus Album Debuts At No. 1

On Saturday, a brand new episode of Hannah Montana, entitled "Sleepwalk This Way," was aired. It featured Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) who sleepwalks due to pressure from keeping the truth from someone. What makes her condition worse is when she sleepwalks, she tells everyone the truth, no matter how harsh it may sound.

The episode begins when her father, Robbie (Billy Ray Cyrus) tells his daughter that he has written a new song for her. Miley is excited to hear it, however, her father won't play it until his guitar is back from the shop. Too excited to wait, she searches the entire house until she finds a folded up piece of paper in his jacket pocket. The song turns out to be about bunnies and it was plain horrible. She enters a dilemma: how does she tell her father that the song isn't good without hurting his feelings?

The pressure from the dilemma leads Miley to fall asleep in class and sleepwalk. What's worse is that she tells her teacher things no one would ever dare say. Oliver and Lilly make up excuses, but the teacher, Ms. Kunkle, is already furious, thus sending Miley to the principal's office.

After all the trouble, Miley decides to tell her father about the song, and the truth is revealed. The song about bunnies was a song Miley wrote herself when she was a little girl, and her father keeps it in his pocket for inspiration. Her father then sings the real song and fortunately, she likes it.

Hannah Montana performed a new hit song in this episode and the Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus album debuted at number one, beating out the debut of Kelly Clarkson's second album, My December. The combination HM/Miley Cyrus CD sold 326,000 units for the week ended July 1, even beating the first Hannah Montana soundtrack album which sold 281,000 units its first week out last October.
